Younus Al Nasser is the Assistant Director General of the Smart Dubai Office, guiding Dubai’s citywide effort to transform Dubai into the world’s smartest city by 2017.
Younus Al Nasser is also the CEO of the Dubai Data Establishment, part of the Smart Dubai Office, charged with overseeing the implement of the Dubai Data Initiative, the most ambitious data initiative globally, and fostering a culture of data sharing in Dubai.

Dr. Dobrin joined IBM in November 2016 as the Vice President and Chief Data Officer for IBM Analytics. Dr Kathy Ning Shen is an Associate Professor at the University of Wollongong in Dubai. She obtained her Master of Philosophy and PhD degrees in Information Systems from City University of Hong Kong, and her Bachelor and Master’s degree in Information Management from Peking University in China. Prior to joining UOWD, she was an Assistant Professor and the Chairperson of Management Information System Department at Abu Dhabi University.
Her teaching style is quite flexible in pedagogical methods in order to accommodate different levels of students, ranging from undergraduate students to doctoral level students, and students with different knowledge backgrounds. She brings her rich research and industrial experiences to the classroom and always encourages students to be creative and critical.
Her main research areas include digital marketing, human-computer interaction, IT adoption, and knowledge management. She has published more than 70 refereed journals and conference articles and her work has appeared in top refereed journals such as Information & Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology, Communications of the ACM, Behaviour and Information Technology, and top conferences in the field, e.g., International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and Hawaii International Conference on Systems Science (HICSS). Currently she is serving as Senior Editor for Information Systems Journal, one of top journals in information systems field and as Guest Editors for several special issues.
Her research has been funded by Emirates Foundation, National Research Foundation and UOWD Research Grant, and Educational Strategies Development Fund (ESDF) at University of Wollongong in Australia. Her current research and consulting interest is using big data for business analytics.
Dr. Dhrupad Mathur works as Associate Professor in IT Management Area with S P Jain School of Global Management, Dubai UAE since 2008. Within this tenure he has served in various administrative positions including the Director of Industry Projects from year 2008 to 2016, as Assistant Dean of the Executive MBA program during 2016-2017 and thereafter as Deputy Director - Faculty Management till date.
With about 18 years of professional experience in ICT education, policy and consulting, Dr. Mathur is a Science graduate with MBA and a master's degree in Public Administration. His Doctorate degree is in the area of e-Business Transformations, from JNVU India (Ph.D, 2004).
He has been a United Nations Fellow for the Working Group on Internet Governance (UNO Geneva, 2005) and has also served in the Strategy Council of the UN GAID (Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development, NY, 2009–11). He was recognized as ‘Emerging Leaders of the Digital World’ by Diplo Foundation Geneva (2007). He has worked on e-Government policy for the Govt. of India in the capacity of Senior Consultant for the National e-Governance Plan, at the Ministry of Communications & IT, Govt. of India, New Delhi(2005-08). At SP Jain, his specialist subjects include: E-Business, E-Government and Disruptive technologies.
